BASEBALL, they're still doing that?

Pedro vs. Petite? what fucking year is this?

baseball = a thing i used to love that was ruined over the course of 15 years or so because of the strike, the whole roids thing...not the actual taking of steroids...but the coverage of it, and the media obsession with the the Yankees and Red Sox rivalry. if it wasn't for some strange since of loyalty i have for the Atlanta Braves (who at a time in my life were the only team that mattered to me...this includes you Auburn) i'd pretty just ignore it all together. sometimes i wish that they'd have another strike and it would kill the old bloated beast for good.

fuck the polls

I was under the impression that following all the upsets and poor performances this weekend that a team like Auburn whose scored points in bunches and been one of the better teams in the SEC so far would easily get into the top 25 this week........yeah not so much.

Yeah, fuck the polls. When you get crushed by an unranked team and stay in the top 25 (Cal) then you are useless to me. Its pretty obvious to me that most of the sportswriters and coaches in the nation just don't pay any attention. Also I call bullshit on USC being back in the top 10 just a week after losing to Washington. What ever, enough bitching here's my Top 25.

A LIFETIME OF DEFEATS TOP 25, WEEK 4

1. Florida
2. BAMA
3. Texas
4. Virginia Tech
5. LSU
6. Boise State
7. Cincinnati
8. TCU
9. Houston
10. Oregon
11. USC
12. Ohio State
13. Auburn
14. Kansas
15. Oklahoma State
16. Miami
17. BYU
18. Oklahoma
19. Iowa
20. Michigan
21. South Florida
22. Georgia
23. Mizzou
24. Georgia Tech
25. Penn State

-the top 3 are the only ones that matter right now. after that the top 10 is made up of teams with either impressive wins over ranked teams (Boise State, Oregon, Virginia Tech, Houston, Cinci) or a team who is unbeaten and could possibly run the table (TCU) or a team living off their reputation who looks like they could lose at any point (LSU).

-USC & Ohio State fall just outside of the top 10...although there's no way they won't end up back there soon. USC plays Cal and Ohio State has 5 easy games before they face Penn State.

-AUBURN IS WAY TOO HIGHLY RANKED IN MY PRETEND POLL...that being said i think they could beat ANY of the teams i have ranked below them with the way their offense is scoring points. do i think Auburn will end the season this high? probably not, but i stand by my pre-season prediction of 8-4...and i'm starting to lean towards 9-3.
-eveything else is a crapshoot.

Big Fucking Surprise

Hey, here's a SHOCKER. Michigan is back in the Top 25 of the AP Poll.

As I assumed the overrating begins. Northeastern sports writers remain lazy and uninterested in anyone other than traditional powers. Whatevs.

Hey Dude, Your List Sucks

the Bleacher Report (some stupid baseball blog written by jerkoffs from the North East) compiled their WORST FANS IN SPORTS list. i'll save you the trouble of clicking over and getting hit with all the spam. their top 10 are....

10. the Cubs for being whiners (agreed)
9. New York Rangers (it's Hockey, who cares)
8. Red Sox for turning into the Yankees(i agree with their inclusion but i'd put them at number 1)
7. The Cardinals for being too nice and not booing (what?)
6. New Jersey Nets for not existing (dude, think outside your tiny Northeastern box. no one knows or cares about the Nets.)
5. Eagles for being evil pricks (yes)
4. Cowboys for not winning a playoff game since Clinton (what does that have to do with their fans?)
3. The Yankees for being snobs (okay. i'm sure you can tell by now that the guy who wrote this is a Mets fan.)
2. Raiders for dressing up in crazy costumes and for their team sucking (i think that qualifies them as diehards...but okay dude, whatever)
1. The Phillies for being violent and crazy (also i would agree, but the Red Sox are still more annoying).

okay first off this list doesn't include a single college fanbase which is not a surprise because people from the city of New York are only aware of things that happen in the North East or things they learn on Sportscenter. noone in New York has ever watched a college football game so they would never know how awful/insane/and retarded things are in THE SEC, Big 10, or Big 12. i mean, what about Texas or Oklahoma? no Red Sox fan has ever ripped off the balls of a Yankees fan, that i am aware of. and where's the hate for the Florida Marlin's non-existant fanbase? they've won TWO FUCKING WORLD SERIES and draw about the same as a Double A baseball team. also any list that leaves off the Duke Blue Devils is completely invalid.

random whiny anti-ESPN post

Not that anyone is unaware of ESPN's Northeastern bias...but when you lead the show with the Red Sox, Yankees, Celtics, UConn, Isiah Thomas (Knicks related), & the NY Giants schedule...well they aren't even bothering to hide it anymore. Why doesn't ESPN dedicate one of their 8 million channels to the rest of the country and turn ESPN to ESPN Northeast? Ugghh. Once baseball season starts my hatred for the WWL gets out of control.
