Dear Douchebag,

the Vikings are fucking retarded bringing this hillbilly, attention whore, douchebag onto their team. Super Bowl?! yeah fucking right. Tavaris Jackson had better fucking numbers than Favre did down the stretch to end the season. i wish someone would just Theismann his ass and we'd never have to hear about him playing ever again.

oh yeah and some dude named Vick is an Eagle now

just as i was eating dinner and getting ready for band practice i heard the news: Mike Vick signed with the motherfucking Eagles. say what? yeah i'm sure this will work out fine. let's take Mike Vick who is a PR nightmare and stick his ass in a racist city like Philly with the biggest bunch of asshole fans in the country (outside of the Red Sox) and let's not forget that you've got a big sulking pussy named McNabb who is starting ahead of him and will no doubt get injured at some point this year and force Vick to have to start. FIREWORKS BABY, FIREWORKS!!!

ugggghhhh. December 6th when the Eagles come to Atlanta is going to be ugly. like in the most dumbass, annoying, and terrible kind of way.

I Loved Me Some Air McNair

Steve McNair's greatest moment came in a loss in the Super Bowl on the final drive as he escapes both Rams' defensive ends, breaks a tackle and fires a bullet to Kevin Dyson. and in Spanish no less....

the very next play the Titans came up inches short of completing the greatest game winning drive in history (yeah, fuck John Elway and Big Ben). i was rooting hard for Tennessee in this game, not because i was much of a Titans fan...but because i always loved Steve McNair from back during his college days. ESPN would randomly show some Alcorn State games during his final college season and i'd always check him out. if the Titans don't retire his number in week 1 then i will be shocked.

stay away from crazy women.

Tom Brady's Knee Destroyed The Denver Broncos

who could've predicted that during week 1 of the 2008 season when Tom Brady went down with his season ending injury that the butterfly effect would result in the Denver Broncos turning into one of the worst teams in the NFL?

in the aftermath of Brady's injury we saw the emergence of Matt Lienart's backup QB at USC, Matt Cassell, morphing into a competent NFL signal caller (thanks to having the greatest wide receiver in NFL history to throw to, a veteran offensive line blocking for him, & explosive playmakers surrounding him) which in turn made Patriots' offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels seem like some kind of genius (despite the fact that the Patriots haven't skipped a beat no matter who is calling plays) and making both of them the hottest commodities in the NFL this offseason, because the NFL is much like a 12 year old girl who gets crushes on the next hot boy at the drop of a hat.

elsewhere the Denver Broncos, after having a disappointing collapse at the end of the season that resulted in them missing the playoffs, decided to fire their longtime headcoach who'd won them TWO FUCKING SUPERBOWLS just a decade ago because they were sick of him always trading away their draft picks and trying to turn guys off the street into 1000 yard rushers instead of just getting a real runningback.

so with the Broncos now minus a future Hall Of Fame coach they decided to hire the HotShit McDaniels and have him bring his explosive Patriots offense to Denver...despite the fact that Denver already had a good offense and it was their lousy defense that kept them out of the playoffs. but hey...the Broncos were set to be great on offense with a Pro-Bowl Quarterback in Jay Cutler and a Pro-Bowl wide receiver in Brandon Marshall...so bringing in McDaniels would probably just make this lethal offense like SUPERFUCKING WOLVERINE LEVEL LETHAL. but then, like all true geniuses, Josh McDaniel decided he'd try and secretly make a trade for his system backup QB because obviously Matt Cassell is a better QB than Jay Cutler. sadly this trade didn't not work out and much DRAMA ensued and instead McDaniels was left with this fucking guy as his franchise QB:

but hey, at least they've still got Brandon Marshall. right? No. what? he wants a trade out of Denver too? hmmmm....well look on the bright side, at least Oakland isn't the laughing stock of the AFC West anymore.

Let Us Never Speak Of This Again

The biggest non-surprise of all time took place today as the Atlanta Falcons officially released Mike Vick.

So yeah, it finally happened. I'm sure there are some people who will be upset about this, but I think 90% of Falcons fans don't care and would just like to move on.

If I was Vick i'd go play in the UFL or CFL for a season.

And seriously stop talking about him in the Wildcat...dude is a fucking QB. Hate him or love him, he's still better than about 8 or 9 starters in the NFL. Screw Favre, if I was the Vikings i'd go after Mike.

Top 7 teams I think Mike Vick could end up with. I don't care what these teams have said in the past.

1. Cowboys
2. Seahawks
3. 49ers
4. Redskins
5. Ravens
6. Raiders
7. Patriots (oh don't think they wouldn't do it)

oh, what a waste.

we'll always have Madden.

A Small Victory

hey ESPN did something right for a change. the prayers of Monday Night Football watchers have finally been answered as Tony Kornheiser has been fired/dropped/or he quit/whatever you wanna call it and replaced by John Gruden in the booth for next season. first off YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! to Kornheiser being gone. now MNFL will have 97% less stupid questions and Favre references. secondly, John Gruden? what up with that? is their a more unlikeable jackass former NFL coach currently without a job? i don't think so. and why would you want to hire a guy who is gonna be leaving as soon as an NFL or NCAA team comes calling for him?

my top 5 choices to replace Kornheiser would've been:

1. Dick Vermeil- he was really good in the booth the times he's been given a chance. he's a likable and knowledgeable coach...plus he brings the added element of crying to the booth. think of the Emmys.

2. Dan Reeves- the MNFL is a little too Northeastern douchebag Yankee for it's own good. Reeves could bring some much needed Southern grit to the crew. plus he's awesome.

3. HAL9000- crisp logical analysis on par with Jaws. a nice monotone voice. and best of all, if he feels threatened that he may be losing his job he can eliminate the entire crew.

4. Lou Holtz- for the comedy and the pep talks. plus he can talk about how awesome it was to coach the Jets.

5. Charles Barkley- sure he does basketball for TNT and didn't play football, but think of how awesome it would be to listen to Chuck's stories and listen to him freakout about losing money on the game that he's calling.

Falcons Draft, Final Thoughts

other than the fact there were armed cops walking around with machine guns and shotguns on campus this morning (just in case the Psycho Killer UGA Prof who murdered 3 people just a couple of minutes from my house decides to show up to work today) it's been a pretty awesome Monday. the NFL Draft came and went and now it's time to bitch and moan and scream for joy at your favorite team's moves..

my thoughts about each of the Falcons draft picks and then some lists of players i felt like they shouldn't have passed on.

1st Rd. Peria Jerry, DT Ole Miss. = AWESOME!!!!

2nd Rd. William Moore, S Missouri. = AWESOME!!!

obviously i am super excited about both of these players because they were the top 2 guys i had on my Friday wishlist/projection. and anytime i am ever right about something then it's gonna make me happy. they filled their 2 most obvious holes and added players who will start next season. i felt like each guy was the best player available at their position going into this draft and it's hard for me to say i would have preferred another player at either spot...but as for rounds 3-7....well i'll just say i am glad we made that move to get Tony Gonzalez.

3rd Rd. Chris Owens, CD San Jose State.

i saw this guy play once ever in some random game on ESPN vs. Nevada and he got torched by the wideout he was covering on 2 straight plays...after that i know nothing about this guy.

ESPN Say:
Here's another example of an undersized corner who can get pushed around at times. Owens, however, is an effective drag-down tackler who can limit receivers' production after the catch. He also has the ball skills to develop into a playmaker.

other players they could've drafted: Jerraud Powers, CB, Auburn. Tyrone McKenzie, LB, South Florida. Kaluka Maiava, OLB, USC. Henry Melton, DE, Texas. DJ Moore, CB, Vanderbilt.

4th Rd. Lawrence Sidbury, DE Richmond.

i saw him play in the Division IAA play offs and he looked like a beast against the lower level competition...but i'm just never going to be a fan of the Falcons drafting guys from small schools, not when the SEC produces the best defensive players in the country and there were plenty of guys available. i don't think this was a bad pick at all...i fact Sidbury will more than likely be a player who sees a lot of time on the field next season at either linebacker or defensive end...especially in pass rushing situations. i wouldn't be surprised if he and Jamaal Anderson don't form a rotation with one another. but still i didn't jump for joy at this pick.

other players they could've drafted: Gerald McRath, LB, Southern Miss. Tyronne Green, G, Auburn. Terrance Taylor, DT, Michigan.

5th Rd. William Middleton, CB Furman.

another small school player. i honestly know nothing about middleton so i don't have much to say. he could be a gem, he could get cut. the Falcons seem to love collecting questionable cornerbacks.

ESPN says:
Middleton possesses prototypical size for a cornerback. His strengths include overall ball skills and the ability to be effective in run support. However, some tightness in his hips creates some concerns about his ability to limit separation.

other players they could've drafted: Colin Brown, OT, Mizzou. Nic Harris, S/LB, Oklahoma. Brandon Hughes, CB, Oregon State. Jasper Brinkley, ILB, South Carolnia. Marcus Freeman, OLB, Ohio State.

5th Rd. Garrett Reynolds, OT North Carolina.

obviously Atlanta needed to add some depth on the offensive line and a player the could develop to be a starter. i love Reynolds size 6 foot 8 & 310 pounds. but there were a 2 lineman available at this spot who were both more productive in this spot. Herman Johnson the huge guard from LSU and Duke Robinson the All American guard from Oklahoma that would've made me more excited. still tackle was a need so i'm not gonna cry my eyes out about this pick.

other players they could've drafted: Duke Robinson, G, Oklahoma. Herman Johnson, G, LSU.

6th Rd. Spencer Adkins, ILB, Miami.

linebacker was a position of need, right behind safety and defensive tackle. so why did Atlanta wait until the 6th round and then draft a player who lost his starting job to a freshman and plays the same position as last year's 2nd round pick Curtis Lofton? i don't get this pick at all. i'll be shocked if he even makes the squad. i would've much rather seen them take Georgia linebacker Danelle Ellerbe who at least has some boom potential.

ESPN Says:
Atkins lacks instincts and it's going to take some major repetitions for him to catch on. He also has durability issues. However, he is a quick-twitched athlete who possesses above-average range.

player's they could've taken: Jarius Wynn, DE, UGA. Stephen Hodge, OLB, TCU. Danelle Ellerbe, LB, UGA.

7th Rd. Vance Walker, DT, Georgia Tech.

a good pick up in the 7th round. they snag a local kid who can help add some depth to the line. i have nothing bad to say about this, BUT i think they should've just signed this kid as a free agent and instead drafted LSU defensive tackle Ricky Jean-Francois...a player who was the MVP of the 2006 national title game and was originally thought of as a 1st round talent who could've played at either tackle or defensive end for the Falcons and i think was a steal in the 7th round.

ESPN says:
Walker plays with a mean streak and is relentless at the point of attack. However, he needs major work on his technique and doesn't move well laterally.

players they could've taken: Curtis Taylor, S, LSU. Mike Mickens, CB, Cincinatti. Manuel Johnson, WR, Oklahoma. Ricky Jean-Francois, DT, LSU. Captain Munnerlyn, CB, South Carolina.

here's Atlanta's list of rookie free agent signings.

Clemson wide receiver Aaron Kelly
West Virginia offensive lineman Ryan Stanchek
Missouri linebacker Brock Christopher
Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson
San Diego State quarterback/wide receiver Darren Mougey
Northern Arizona punter Robbie Dehaze

the only guy on this list that i like is Kelly from Clemson to help out in the return game.

Auburn Draft Reaction

so the weekend came and went and after it was all said and done 3 former Auburn players were taken in the 2009 NFL Draft. Sen'Derrick Marks in the 2nd round to the Titans, Jerraud Powers in the 3rd to the Colts, and Tyronne Green in the 4th to the Chargers. all 3 players were taken higher than Mel Kiper projected and all 3 are likely to see time next season for their respective teams.

Powers is the player i am most happy for as a lot of fans were wondering why he even declared for the draft. i had assumed he would be a 5th or 6th round selection, so when i saw his name pop up on the screen early Sunday morning it put a smile on my face.

some other Auburn players received free agent contracts, as Tez Doolittle will get a shot as a Seahawk and Rod Smith will be joing Green in San Diego. Brad Lester and Tristan Davis have as of now not been given offers that i am aware of. it's hard to imagine that Davis won't get invited to someone's camp for a tryout as a returner and special teams player with his speed.

Bama Bangs To Invade Hotlanta

watch out ladies...this haircut is hitting the big city.

John Parker Wilson is now an Atlanta Falcon.

let's go with one of JP's greatest hits to celebrate this signing by the Dirty Birds.

To quote Steven Colbert, "NOOOOOOOOOO!"

Pray to whatever god you worship that he protects Matt Ryan.

For the NFL even considering playing the Super Bowl in London...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Roger Goodell is in serious danger of passing David Stern as the biggest douchebag dictator in all of sports. It was bad enough that he takes the law into his own hands and treats grown as men like little kids being sent to the principals office, but now you want to take the most important sporting event in our country and put it in a country that doesn't care about the sport?!? Fuck You, Asshole!

If you wanna let Goodell know what sort of greedy, asshole, cockgoblin he is then email him at Roger.Goodell2@NFL.net or just call his ass and leave a nice polite voicemail at 1-212-450-2000.

Falcons make a big move before the draft

The Falcons just picked up All Pro Tight End Tony Gonzalez in exchange for a 2nd round pick next year. This gives the Falcons another weapon for Matt Ryan and even more important it means Atlanta is definitely going defense in the first round...and probably the entire draft unless a tackle falls into their laps.

Remember last year when all I did was whine and complain about every move the Dirty Birds made and said they were run by morons? Yeah well if I could travel back in time i'd kick my own self in the balls. What a jackass.

Who Wants To Be A Draft Bust? 2009 Edition

according to NFL LAW i must post a picture of Ryan Leaf whenever using the words "draft bust".

so with Auburn spring football done and the Braves looking like this lately, i turn all my attention (other than 2nights HAWKS game) towards the NFL Draft. for a college football fan it's a chance to see our favorite team's players move on to the next level, for NFL fans it's a weekend of hope that our team's can improve themselves, for the NFL itself it's a chance to get rid of veteran players who they don't wanna pay and replace them with youth. and for some NFL teams it's a chance to make a really bad draft pick that sets your franchise back and wastes valuable cap space....
and for that it's time to unleash my TOP 10 2009 Potential Draft Busts. i'm limiting the list to players who are gonna be 1st or 2nd rounders. it should also be noted that i picked Matt Ryan as my Number 1 Draft bust last year...so yeah, i have no fucking idea what i am talking about. anyways let the shit talking begin.

1. Josh Freeman, QB Kansas State.

sure he's 8 feet tall and 300 pounds and has a rocket for an arm, but what did that ever do for Kansas State. i am finding a hard team remembering a more overrated prospect who came into college football and accomplished less than nothing (besides beating Texas twice). he left school early, he's a 2 or 3 year project player who will no doubt be forced to start too soon and will be run out of the league in 4 or 5 seasons...tops. to be honest the only memorable moment i can come away with from Freeman's college career would be this little nugget of joy...

as a Falcons fan i am praying that Tampa Bay drafts this kid in the 1st round.

2. James Laurinaitis, LB Ohio State

i've already said enough about him and before the combine i would have had him #1 on my list of likely draft busts...but the hype on Laurinaitis has died down a ton ever since the college football season ended and he stopped receiving his weekly suckjob by The Herbiebot and Brett Musburger. he's still likely to get drafted somewhere near the top of the 2nd round, which is pretty high for a guy who isn't even good enough to start at linebacker for most SEC teams. i've never thought this guy was worth a shit and if his dad wasn't a famous wrestler and he didn't play for THE Ohio State noone would have ever heard of him and he wouldn't even be getting drafted. if Atlanta picks him in the 2nd round then i may shoot my TV.

3. Aaron Maybin, LB/DE Penn State

he's got a lot of potential upside as far as his athleticism goes, but to me this guy is a lot like Stanley McClover. he's too small to play defensive end in the pros and i don't know if hes quick enough to be a linebacker...and also like McClover he left school too early and i can't imagine him being able to contribute for at least a couple of seasons if at all. maybe he's worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick but there's no way in hell i'd take him in the 1st round...much less in the top 15 or top 20 which most all of the Mock Drafts have him.

4. Michael Oher, OT Ole Miss

i'm starting to wonder if Oher was ever really THAT good. when someone writes a book about you while you are in highschool then i think the HYPE far outways the actual player. i like Oher and i DO hope he becomes a great player, but i just never really saw it while he was at Ole Miss. he lacks the strength that you want from a dominate left tackle and likely will wind up at right tackle in the NFL, which is not really worth a 1st round pick...i don't think unless your team is just loaded with talent.

5. Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR Maryland

i mean, dude is fast as hell, but i watched him play a few times in college and he sure as hell liked to drop some passes. there's always huge bust potential at the wide receiver position and Darrius looks to me like the leader of the pack this year.

6. Vontae Davis, CB Illinois

this guy has BOOM or BUST written all over him. he's got great size and speed but he's also got BIG QUESTIONS!!! about his attitude and work ethic, which to me does not equal a 1st round pick.

7. Brian Cushing, OLB USC

your typical GREAT college player who is never gonna do anything in the pros. Cushing was on a great defense for 4 years but was also surrounded with NFL talent at USC. he had a lot of injury issues at USC and then there are also the steroid rumors...which may or may not be true, but they do exist. i'd lump his teammate Clay Mathews into this spot as well. Rey Maualuga is the only one of the USC linebackers i'd be happy with my team taking.

8. Brian Robiskie, WR Ohio State

why is this guy being called a 2nd round prospect? i've seen him ranked ahead of Percy Harvin (smoking weed will fuck up your draft stock, dude), Hakeem Nicks, and Juaquin Iglesias...all receivers i'd be much happier about my team taking. Robiskie only had one 100 yard receiving game in 2008...mostly due to the fact they were breaking in a new QB, but still i can't imagine him being more than just a 3rd wideout on a team...which does not equal a 2nd round pick to me. if he was a 4th rounder then i'd say go for it...but a top 50 pick is just way too high.

9. Shonn Green, RB Iowa

big fat, slow, plodding Big 10 runningback who might be a goal line threat in the NFL but isn't gonna be a feature back. basically he's Ron Dayne circa 2009. plus he only played 1 year of college football.

10. Malcolm Jenkins, CB/FS Ohio State

as you can tell i have no love for any of these 1st day Ohio State prospects. call it 3 straight years of getting owned in big games. Jenkins is too slow to play corner and not strong enough to be a safety...plus he can't cover anyone...just ask LSU.

John Madden Wants No Part Of This New Favre-less NFL

It happened. John Madden actually retired. a life without BOOM! in the NFL starts today. and i was so looking forward to seeing John Madden have to talk about something else besides Brett Favre. i can only assume that NBC will replace him with Chris Collinsworth thereby making their Sunday Night Football In America or whatever the fuck it's called 250% better. i assume i'll still be haunted be Madden's pointless drivel in video game form until he eventually shuffles off this mortal coil.

now if only Chris Berman would take his lead.

2009 Falcons Schedule is a fucking Monster

so following the Atlanta Falcons 2007 season of misery was last year's season of miracles. we've finally got a franchise QB (who doesn't appear to be an idiot) and a solid general manager and head coach in place and things are looking up for the Falcons and with a little bit of help on defense and a strong draft, i was actually starting to believe Atlanta might even be looking at a run to the Super Bowl next year...and then i saw their schedule for next season. they play the entire NFC and AFC east which is loaded with playoff caliber teams (not to mention the NFC South is already one of the 3 toughest divisions in football), they play 2 NFC teams that should all be improved (49ers & Bears), and they have a stretch of games from late October through the month of November that could very well kill any chances at Atlanta's playoff hopes. so let's do that really dumb thing that people like to do and try and figure out how Atlanta favors in these matchups.

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 13 MIAMI DOLPHINS 1:00 p.m.

the Dolphins, much like Atlanta, came out of nowhere last season and were a playoff team lead by a good defense and one of the leagues best running games. offensively Atlanta holds an edge and the game is @ The Dome. i think Atlanta gets a win here.
1-0

Week 2: Sunday, Sept. 20 CAROLINA PANTHERS 1:00 p.m.

a game against the best team in the NFC South, the Falcons usually play the Panthers pretty good at home so i'll give them another win here.
2-0

Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 27 at New England Patriots 1:00 p.m.

ughhhh. at New England with Tom Brady back and 2 games under his belt, 2 games to shake off the cobwebs, 2 games to get back into a rhythm with Moss and Welker. LOSS.
2-1

Week 4: BYE WEEK

Week 5: Sunday, Oct. 11 at San Francisco 49ers 4:05 p.m.

the 49ers should be one of the more improved teams in the NFL this season (or at least that's what all the pre-season mags are gonna hype them as). this could be a statement game for the Niners against their old-school NFC West rival...luckily San Fran still doesn't have a QB. i'm thinking close win by the Falcons.
3-1

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 18 CHICAGO BEARS 8:20 p.m.

The Bears have Cutler now and will be looking to avenge the miracle win the Falcons pulled off last year. plus it's a Monday night game. Atlanta isn't really known for stepping up to the plate during big games. LOSS.
3-2

Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 25 at Dallas Cowboys 4:15 p.m.

the beginning of Atlanta's brutal stretch of games. it's at Dallas which is trouble. unless The Falcons defense is greatly improved i am gonna call this one a loss.
3-3

Week 8: Monday, Nov. 2 at New Orleans Saints 8:30 p.m. ESPN

at the Saints for a rivalry game. LOSS.
3-4

Week 9: Sunday, Nov. 8 WASHINGTON REDSKINS 1:00 p.m.

The Redskins should be improved this season and will look to try and make a playoff push. this is Atlanta's only home game during November so they have to get a win or they are fucked. i'm calling a close victory.
4-4

Week 10: Sunday, Nov. 15 at Carolina Panthers 1:00 p.m.

the Panthers will probably be in 1st place and looking to separate themselves from Atlanta. LOSS.
4-5

Week 11: Sunday, Nov. 22 at N.Y. Giants 1:00 p.m.

on the Road vs one of the top 5 teams in the NFL. LOSS.
4-6

Week 12: Sunday, Nov. 29 TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS 1:00 p.m.

The Bucs are gonna suck this year, that being said they always fucking give Atlanta trouble, but i think the Falcons can take em. WIN.
5-6

Week 13: Sunday, Dec. 6 PHILADELPHIA EAGLES 1:00 p.m.

at home vs a team that ALWAYS beats Atlanta. LOSS.
5-7

Week 14: Sunday, Dec. 13 NEW ORLEANS SAINTS 1:00 p.m.

at home vs. the rival Saints...both teams will be fighting for a playoff spot but i think Atlanta takes them at home.
6-7

Week 15: Sunday, Dec. 20 at N.Y. Jets 1:00 p.m.

@ The Jets...fucking hell, 2 trips to New York?! that blows. wait who is New York's QB? fuck the Jets, Atlanta gets a win.
7-7

Week 16: Sunday, Dec. 27 BUFFALO BILLS 1:00 p.m.

T.O. comes to town and wrecks to Falcons playoff hopes. LOSS.
7-8

Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 3 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1:00 p.m.

the Falcons will have to actually win a divisional game on the road to get to .500 for the year...luckily Tampa Bay will probably be one of the worst teams in the NFL next year and so the Falcons get a win to get to 8-8 on the year.
8-8

No Playoffs for Atlanta, No consecutive winning seasons for the 1st time ever. thanks a lot NFL.

please make your mouth hole stop making those sounds

listening to Trent Dilfer trash Jay Cutler is a lot like listening to Dane Cook give Chris Rock critiques on his standup comedy. Dude you were an NFL journeyman whose team won a Super Bowl because you had the best defense ever...not because of you. The myth that winning a championship somehow makes a QB legit is highly overrated.

So Jay Cutler is officially ESPN's new whipping boy by the angry ex-players turned commentators. T.O., Ocho Cinco... you guys have some company.

my favorite thing about ESPN: giving mediocre coaches and players a forum to spew forth their jealous rage.

The Curse Of Elway

It's official. Denver is fucked. i wonder if they are starting to regret that whole firing Shanahan thing yet?

Have fun with Chris Simms.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

i call bullshit on Jerry

Thanks to the Jay Cutler dramarama everyone is talking about places he might end up and I guess someone asked Jerry Jones if he'd consider trading Tony Romo for Cutler. Jones reply was that he wouldn't trade Tony Romo for ANYONE. Really?! I mean yeah I get that Jerry was just letting us all know that Tony has his faith and full support, but he'd either have to be totally insane or just fucking stupid to think that Romo is the best QB in the NFL and completely untradeable.

So here's my list of Qbs that you'd have to be an idiot not to trade Mr. I Can't Win In The Playoffs for.

1. Captain Dreamboat
2. Peyton
3. Big Ben
4. Drew Brees
5. McNabb
6. Philip Rivers
7. Matt Ryan (I can't believe how wrong I was about him)
8. Jay Cutler
9. Carson Palmer (when healthy i'd have him top 5)
10. Eli Manning
11. Kurt Warner (the only reason I have him this low is because of age, but even if he only gives me 2 years....that's 2 better years than Romo will ever have)

And there are a few guys that I think with more experience or with the talent that Dallas has are better Qb options than Tony like Aaron Rogers and Joe Flacco...but right now i'd take Romo over either of them.

And those are just Qbs that i'd rather have, I'm not even counting all the runningbacks, left tackles, linebackers, and defensive ends that are more valuable.

I Still Got Love For Matt Jones

so Matt Jones was let go by the Jacksonville Jaguars yesterday following his recent arrest for violating his parole. this is only newsworthy to this blog because few players ever scared the shit out of me more when they were going up against Auburn than Matt Jones did. he was Tim Tebow before there ever was a Tim Tebow, but without all the freakish talent around him and with better speed. if the Falcons wanna sell me a jersey they should sign up Jones and teach him how to be a tight end. plus he'd be an awesome weapon in the Wild Cat. whey Jacksonville didn't run that play with him on everydown last year is beyond me.

Denver Is Out Of Their Mind

so maybe i'm a little biased because i watched Jay Cutler take a Vanderbilt team with no talent and make them competitive...but seriously Denver is out of their fucking mind.

a list of teams that would cut off their left nut to have a QB with as much talent as Cutler.

1. Seahawks
2. 49ers
3. Rams
4. Raiders
5. Jets
6. Dolphins
7. Bills
8. Redskins (sorry Jason...it's true)
9. Eagles (only to have someone new to bitch about)
10. Titans
11. Jaguars
12. Texans
13. Bucs
14. Panthers
15. Vikings
16. Bears
17. Lions
And those are just the teams that would gladly swap out their QB for Cutler, that doesn't count the other Qbs that he's obviously better than like Brady Quinn, Aaron Rogers, and yes...Matt Cassel (aka the new Derek Anderson). Also if you asked a few Cowboys fans they'd probably rather have Cutler over Romo.

So that leaves the Manning Brothers, Big Ben, Rivers, Brady, Kurt Warner (whose almost finished with his career), Carson Palmer, Drew Brees, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, and (if you're a rational Eagles fan) McNabb as list of QBs who are either better or just as good or have more upside. That's it. Like less than a dozen dudes...some of whom he's a better option than. It's a pretty short fucking list. If Cutler forces the Broncos to trade him away then they instantly become one of the top 5 worst teams in the NFL.

This is what Denver gets for hiring a Patriot.

TO is a Bill?

Huh?

Owens is going to Buffalo/Toronto? Fo' real?

Actually this is a great move for the Bills because, I mean who fucking cares about the BILLS? No one. Now they'll get some ESPN love and for TO its probably a good idea to go to a small market where his crazy ass won't get as much negative press in a city where they are starving for relevance.

I love that Owens called the Bills "North America's team". I am sooo getting him for my fantasy team again next year.

this is your new Enemy/QB, Trent Edwards. he is pretty much the worst QB you've ever played with. i see this ending well for Mr. Edwards. do your best to destroy his psyche.
