Biggest Pussies Ever or Biggest Pussies Possible?
Having spent the majority of my 32 years in the state of Georgia surrounded by Dawgs fans I can say with some level of expertise that they are a miserable and unlikeable bunch. Fuck this mutual respect bullshit between the two schools. Georgia fans can eat a dick. Of all the Big Six in the conference they have the least passionate, least interested, least involved fans. All most of them care about is getting drunk or going to St. Simon's. Watching their program go to shit has been almost as enjoyable as Auburn's undefeated season (no matter how it all turns out.)
You'd think based on the amount of crying coming out of Athens this weekend that Auburn jumped the Georgia team getting off the bus and beat them with lead pipes. Auburn is a dirty team? Hey, we might pay our players but at least one of our runningbacks didn't threaten to put a sex tape of a girl on the Internet to get out of paying her 500 dollars back.
Fuck Georgia, I hope Tech kills them and sends Mark Richt out as a loser.
maybe they'll find a coach who knows how to beat Florida...like Tommy Tuberville.

WAR DAMN EAGLE
No matter what happens, it sure feels good to beat those fucking Dawgs. The amount of bitching and crying coming out of Athens right now will bring me comfort and joy for months even if the NCAA takes the T-Bird away.

Georgia Lost to Kentucky?

sad facts
i'm really fucking sick of this bullshit.

Kentucky and Vanderbilt...
Those are the names of teams who've beaten UGA more recently than Auburn. And wouldn't you know...they've also beaten Auburn lately too.
An entire graduating class has made it through on the plains without ever tasting sweet victory vs the Dawgs.
There isn't enough alcohol that my body can hold to make me feel any better.
Weshaun, Knowshon, fuck all your Shawns!

hey Lee Ziemba, go ahead and go pro buddy. i'd rather Auburn start a true freshman at left tackle next year than have to watch you gettin' false start penalties every fucking big drive for another fucking year. you fucking suck!
goddamnit i hate the Georgia Bulldogs more than i hate Stone Temple Pilots and Limp Bizkit combined.
to all my Georgia Bulldog loving friends, suck my dick. we are done, professionally.

UGA gonna Floss They Capes

so my old man sends me lots of Auburn related junk that he finds on the internet and this is something i got this morning that made me giggle. this is written by a UGA fan about his own current distaste with how things are going for the Dawgs and it's full of the sort of self-loathing and mockery that i enjoy. i'd love to give credit to whoever wrote this but i haven't the slightest idea.
This is a rant to an Auburn fan asking about tickets to the game in Athens. I asked if I should try to get a ticket before I get to Athens....
"I think you should watch the first 5 min of the game from the bridge and
then get a ticket for $3. Here's how I see it shaking out:
- Georgia rushes onto the field w/ black capes this time. Yes, capes. Black
ones.
- Georgia wins toss. Defers to 2nd half. UGA captains skip and zig zag back
to the sideline to "floss they capes"
- UGA Kickoff out of the endzone (thank God)
- 5 play AU touchdown drive. B Evans gives up big play touchdown pass b/c he
stepped on his cape and fell down. Extra Point good.
Reshad Jones does the "Superman" dance off the field laughing the entire way.
- AU Kickoff 8 yards into endzone. We bring it out anyway because, hell,
we're wearing black capes. Tackled at the 12.
- 1st and 10: Toss sweep to Ealey (3yds - really 1, but he gets a bonus 2 for
the black eye patch he's wearing w/ his cape courtesy of Brandon Spikes).
- 2nd and 9: Cox throws ball 3 yards behind AJ's crossing route. AJ makes an
incredible catch as he dives back against his momentum and lays out
hoizontally. He was able to make the catch because he decided against
wearing the stupid f*cking black cape. 5 yard completion. Wait, called back due to the
first of twelve penalties we will have before halftime.
2nd and 19: Draw play to Richard Samuel. Enough said.
3rd and 16: Auburn sends 14 people after Cox. He makes an attempt to throw
the ball out of bounds, but steps on his cape which restricts his cannon of an
arm. His ball comes up 12 yards short of the sideline, but it's up in the
air so long that one of the 14 AU blitzers is able to get under it and haul
it to the endzone for another AU touchdown.
14-0 with 11:48 to go in the first quarter.
- You trade ticket w/ scalper for extra beer in your pocket. You pay him $3
for his cape. "

Auburn = IN, Georgia = Out
ESPN has a nice little blog post by Chris Low about the Tigers and Bulldogs and how each program is seemingly going in opposite directions. with our Tigers back on the rise with hope for the future and the Dawgs in a tailspin of sorrow that reminds us of our own SEASON OF DEATH.
a quote:
At Auburn, there’s hope, a sense that a new day is coming under first-year coach Gene Chizik. An eight-win season would be greeted with a bunch of approving nods. Even a seven-win season would be tolerable. It's still the honeymoon phase.
At Georgia, there’s despair. There’s anger. There’s real concern that this program is on a slippery slope to mediocrity in the SEC, a program that’s been the hallmark of consistency under Mark Richt. A seven-win season would go over about as well as a 10-year-old getting socks for Christmas.

Hate Week 2009

so it's time of the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry. AKA the game that matters more to me than any other on Auburn's schedule this year.
unlike most Auburn fans, i do not hate the Tide. i mean i want Auburn to beat them, but it's not a life or death thing for me. i was born in Alabama but i grew up in Georgia and thus i was surrounded by the most insufferable/wishy-washy fanbase in all of college football, UGA. nothing can give me more joy than beating the Dawgs and nothing makes me feel sicker to my stomach than watching Auburn lose to the Red and Black. 3 years in a row is 3 too fucking many. so you better win on Saturday, Auburn...i am serious. this is getting old.

you can feel the oncoming crunkness in the ATH
So it's the LSU/UGA game tomorrow in my lovely little town of Athens. There's already so much fucking purple and gold walking around downtown that you'd think kickoff was a few hours from now. When 2 teams I hate as much as Georgia and LSU play it's hard not to root for a natural disaster to swallow them all....and then some douchebag in an LSU polo talked some shit to me and I was just walking down the street...so I hope the Dawgs whip their ass tomorrow and I see that guy lookin all sad tomorrow night so I can punch him in the balls.

a random collection of thoughts and camera phone pictures from G Day 09
your friendly neighborhood Auburn blogger dressed in yellow because he pussed out and didn't wear Auburn gear. yes i always look like that. yes i always wear sunglasses.

First off it was a beautiful fucking day for some spring football. About 60 degrees, sunny, a little bit of wind, and perfect conditions. I can only hope it's like this next weekend at Auburn.
I really don't understand why ESPN chose to show the UGA spring game this year. It's not like Georgia is being thought of as a contender or anything...my only guess is that they plan on showing as many spring games as possible and the Dawgs were the only good candidates this weekend. Speaking of which, why the fuck does UGA think it's a good idea to have their Spring game during Master's weekend and during the Braves' first home opener? I mean it was an okay crowd, but there would've probably been about 20 thousand more people if they had it next weekend. Plus doing this Easter Weekend meant there were almost zero students at the game.

Thoughts about the actual game itself:
The Georgia QB situation doesn't look that much better than what Auburn has. Joe Cox is a noodle arm having Senior who I can't imagine holding on to the starting spot past the 1st two games. He had 1 good throw to AJ Green to start the game that my friend Jeff attributed to Green's ability to make Cox shitty throw seem like a good play by his superb athletic ability. Logan Gray didn't look any better, but the fact that he can run makes him seem like the lesser of two evils. Both of the true freshman were wildly inaccurate and Aaron Murray threw an ugly pick. So yeah...you can say that Stafford wasn't much of a leader all you want, but the Dawgs are gonna miss his ass.

The offense just looked awful in general...I mean either the defense got 80% better or the offense took a 50% slide down. None of the backs could do anything, the Qbs (like I said) were nothing to speak of, and the recievers were dropping everything. It was just an ugly performance all the way around. I know it's just a practice but all my Georgia loving friends seemed pretty down in the dumps about the Dawgs chances in 09.
the game was a series of turnovers and field goals and boring as hell.
The worst part of the day was when I thought I saw Erin Andrews and then raced down to the field for a better look only to discover it was just Wendy Nix. Booooooooo! Is that all we are good enough for ESPN? I guess if you only check her out from the back then Nix is packing a pretty cute ass...but come on, why can't you send a creepy blogger some Erin Andrews action to brighten up an otherwise dull Spring game? For shame Espn.

And so that was that. Next weekend I'll be in Auburn with my old man bitching and whining about the Tiger's team. holla at a brother if you gunna be there too. And pray it doesn't rain.

who?
Georgia hired some guy I've never even heard of before to coach their basketball team. Mark Fox is your man now Dawgs. He won a lot of games at Nevada, so that's good...but yeah, not the BIG SPLASH that UGA was hoping for. Of course most Bulldog fans just said, "when's football season start?" And that pretty much sums up UGA basketball. Anything is better than what Georgia had before, and hey...its not like your top tier football team ran their highly successful coach out of town and hired a guy whose only won 5 games in 2 years...cuz that would be really insane....

Ain't Nobody Wanna Coach Your Shitty Basketball Team
So Mizzou head coach Mike Anderson told the Bulldogs no thanks and took less money to stay with the Tigers. I guess battling Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma seemed more appealing than having to rebuild the worst team in the SEC. Most Georgia fans just said, "We have a basketball team?"
I feel bad for the Dawgs because Anderson was the only big name out there that they had a shot at and living here in Athens I admit that I was a little excited about the prospect of Georgia becoming an entertaining, high flying, dunkathon...but it is not to be.

Stop Me If You Think That You've Heard This One Before

Whenever you type the words "dumb motherfucker" together, google should automatically redirect you here.
in case you haven't heard, former Georgia Bulldogs and Dallas Cowboys QB, Quincy Carter got himself arrested....AGAIN.
DWIs are a bitch.
when i think about wastes of talent, i often think of Cocaine Quincy first. he may have done more blow in Athens than the entire music scene combined.
in other football players who are dumbasses news, Kellen Winslow and his swollen balls got traded to the Bucs. as if i needed another reason to hate Tampa Bay. i guess they needed a "soldier".

The Dawgs Better Off Without Stafford and Knowshon?

so i was listening to the local Athens sports talk show "The Home Team" this morning on The Ref (man i love sportstalk radio station names) and they were talking about the fact that a lot of returning Georgia players have been calling out last year's team for it's lack of leadership and that the team is more unified going into next season. Tight End Aaron White had the most damning comment about last year's team with this little nugget, "There's a lot more of a team mentality around right now," (White) said. "We're not focused on he's a star and we've got to go to him. We're more focused on everybody's got to work together and pull their own weight."
after White made his comments several other players came out and said basically the same kind of thing. nobody went and called out Stafford or Knowshon or anybody who is gone but after i read this interview/article about Joe Cox and the kind of firey leadership he wants to bring to the Dawgs that they've been lacking you can read between the lines and see that Matt Stafford may be the most gifted UGA QB they've ever had but he didn't have much going in the leadership department. so yeah, maybe Mark Sanchez isn't such a bad choice with the #1 pick after all.
if you are a Georgia fan you can only look at this stuff as a positive. it's called the Patrick Ewing effect, which is summed up as a team with a star athlete receives an inordinate amount of media attention and fan interest, and yet his teams never win anything substantial with him. then that players leaves and the team is written off by the media but actually improves thanks to having less pressure and better team chemistry. Georgia may be losing a lot in the talent department, but the team seems like they are feeling better off without them. i said it right after Stafford and Moreno declared for the draft that i wouldn't be surprised if the Dawgs shocked everyone and won the SEC next year. i'd at least assume they'll be good enough to win 10 or 11 games and get back to a BCS bowl with a game manager like Joe Cox and a veteran offensive line blocking for a trio of runningbacks with different skill sets. plus there is no way their defense could possibly be as bad as it was last year as long as Jeff Owens and Geno Atkins can stay healthy. so yeah, don't sleep on the Dawgs next year.

To Basketball Or Not To Basketball?

so the Auburn Men's B-Ball squad (aka HOTTEST TEAM IN THE SEC BABY!!!) is in town tonight taking on the trainwreck of doom that is the UGA Basketball team. it's $15 dollars for some pretty low quality college basketball with zero guys who will ever play in the NBA taking up valuable amounts of my time that could be spent playing NCAA 2009 or watching season 1 of Californication on DVD. and these are the delimas that haunt me. if this were a choose your own adventure novel then i'd likely be eaten by a dragon on the very next page. regardless, noone i've talked to seems all that into the idea of watching my Tigers whip up on their Dawgs. come on, UGA just beat the Gators...where's your spirit Athens?

Go Make That Money Young Men

Georgia's star backfield of Knowshon Moreno and Matt Stafford are set to announce their desiscions about their collective futures today at a 3pm press conference. conventional wisdom says they are both going to the NFL...but you never know. crazier shit has happened.
as an Auburn fan i wish them the best of luck in the NFL and am happy as hell to see them go. those two have owned Auburn and anything that knocks the Dawgs down a peg is good by me.
*update*: it's official they're gone. WAR EAGLE to that. although i shouldn't gloat too much because it's all the more likely that next year's UGA squad will sneak up on everyone and win the SEC with less talent at QB and a strong running game behind Claeb King and Richard Samuels...kinda like the 05 Dogs who lost to Auburn and Florida but somehow won the conference.

I Have Only Hate In My Heart For The Fucking Dawgs

it's the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry this week. Auburn vs. Georgia...aka my favorite rivalry game of all. having grown up in the state of Georgia as an Auburn fan and currently calling Athens my home gives the Dawgs a slight edge over Alabama in terms of full of loathing and hatred. i will at times root for the Tide when they are playing a common foe or a non-conference team, but it is nearly impossible for me to wish anything but ill-will on Georgia. maybe it's the completely obnoxious fanbase or maybe it's the fact that the series is so damn close historically or maybe it's the fact that UGA has completely destroyed Auburn the past few years...but my hate couldn't possibly be any higher than it is right now. with Auburn having such a terrible season i've had to find my joy in the misery of others. thankfully the Dawgs have given me my top 2 joyous moments of the season with their nationally televised beatdowns at the hands of both Alabama and Florida. unfortunately it feels highly unlikely that Auburn will be able to hand the Dawgs a third asswhiping this season...what with their offense being shitty and all. nope it's looking more likely that Georgia will be handing Auburn their 3rd straight loss in the series and helping drive one of the final nails into Tommy Tuberville's coffin.
i only ask that all my Georgia friends hold nothing back this week. talk as much shit to me as you please. tell me my fucking team sucks and how bad you are gonna whip our ass. believe me, i can take it. besides you won't be telling me anything i don't already know. so give me your worst...because if Auburn can pull a victory out of their ass i will be talking more shit than you can imagine.
