so what do you get for beating an undefeated Ball State team and winning the MAC championship game, as well as turning around the worst D-I program of the decade in 3 short years? you get to be the hottest coaching name in the non-BCS world and the apple of Auburn's eye. Auburn's talking to Turner Gill. it's not exactly Butch Davis, but it beats the hell out of Houston Nutt any day of the week. honestly at this point i'm gonna go ahead and rank Turner Gill right behind Butch Davis and Brian Kelly on my Auburn wishlist. he's young, he's turned around a terrible team in a hurry, and it looks like the sky is the limit for the guy. plus he's one of my favorite football players of the 1980s...and you know how much football fans love their nostalgia. Auburn is also apparently going to talk to Ball State's coach, Brady Hoke (according to ESPN...and they're never wrong about anything). Paul Johnson also appears to still be in the picture.
